$2.2M Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and Hollywood Get Their Official Opening Dates

One of the biggest land-based gambling companies in the world, Hard Rock International, has two pending properties that will soon see the light of day – and now we know exactly when those days are.

The Seminole Tribe of the Florida-owned firm has set Thursday, October 24th as the opening date of its Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood and Thursday, October 3rd as the day when the venue in Tampa, Florida, will be inaugurated.

A Bountiful October Ahead

Both venues are worth around $2.2 million…

…and the cost of the Hollywood property alone was $1.5m. It will be the world’s first hotel and casino complex in the shape of a guitar and will stretch skywards 450 feet.

The guitar tower will contain 1,271 guest suites and the six guitar strings will be illuminated at night. The resort will also have an expanded casino floor of 195,000 square feet with over 200 table games. 3,100 slot machines and a 45-table poker room (brand-new) will also be providing entertainment…

…as will the high limit slots room, non-smoking slots room and Plum Lounge – an upscale with a big variety of VIP experiences for Hard Rock’s most esteemed guests and players.

Putting South Florida on the Map

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood will, when completed, also have 19 restaurants, 20 bars, a 7,000 capacity Hard Rock Live venue into whose development $125 million was invested, 13.5 acre pool, outdoor walkway…

Tampa Won’t Miss a Beat Either

The venue in Tampa will be expanded so that it includes…

…a 14-floor hotel tower with 562 guest rooms, three pools described as “ultra lavish,” extensive gaming space, a casino floor of 245,000 square feet and a brand-new set of 1,000 slot machines and 41 table games– resulting in total of 5,000 slots, 179 tables and a poker room with 46 tables.

Another One in California Coming Up

In June, Hard Rock has revealed that they are planning yet another California venue, besides the looming Sacramento facility…

…to be constructed in partnership with Tejon Indians Tribe.

The two entities will partner up for this $600 million casino venture that will provide jobs for at least 3000 people. Kern County is being mentioned as the most likely location for the casino.

The resort will include a casino, hotel, spa, fitness facilities, 13 food and beverage spaces, a concert venue, a conference and meeting space.

One of the people closest to the project, Tejon’s Octavio Escobedo, has given his statement:
