bet365 Launches Online Gaming Services and Sportsbook in Mexico via Ganador Azteca Operator

Renowned global operator, bet365, has entered into an agreement with Ganador Azteca, regarding their entry to the regulated gaming market of Central America’s largest nation, Mexico.

Their local partner – who obtained their gaming license in September last year – is a subsidiary of TV Azteca, the multimedia conglomerate. According to the deal’s details, the Stoke-based gaming company has launched a sportsbook under the bet365.mx domain.

Mexico’s Trustworthy License

Mexico’s gambling regulator, Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos (DGJS), has awarded their license to this operator…

…and a peculiar thing about this country’s licensing system is that each permit lasts for as long as 25 years, much longer than any other jurisdiction allows! Ganador Azteca, thus, gained their right to operate a land-based casino in state Veracruz’s Yanga Municipality.

Along with the permit to conduct gambling business in brick-and-mortar venues…

…the operator was also allowed to launch iGaming offerings. This particular permit was given to them on November 7th, 2018. According to Mexican laws, operators are allowed to a third-party company in order to power their online offering. Bet365 received approval on November 28th last year, by the DGJS.

More Operators ing In

This puts them in the same rank as other notable international operators and game suppliers that have already gone down the exact same path of entering Mexico’s regulated market…

…such as Spain’s Codere, which is live with Codere.mx domain. They originally launched their International Game Technology offering with Greenplay’s Mexican domain and URL. Caliente, another local operator, is powered by gaming giant Playtech.

At the present moment, bet365 is among several operators seeking ways to enter the market of Buenos Aires, where they have also applied for a license.

Fantasy Sports Scene

Mexico’s gaming market received a significant boost back in January…

…when leading provider of B2B daily fantasy sports, Scout Gaming, agreed a deal with Mexican entertainment conglomerate, Logrand Entertainment Group, regarding receiving total access to Norway’s company’s entire Fantasy Sports platform.

Scout Gaming’s CEO, Andreas Ternstrom, said of the agreement:

“We are really pleased with this deal, making us enter into the Mexican market. We see big potential in the region and is proud to be chosen by Logrand which is one of the leading Mexican brands. Their ambition to build the top product offering aligns well with our ambition. The deal also further strengthens Scout Gaming’s position as the global leading B2B provider of Fantasy Sports.

Logrand’s Chief operating online officer, Lenin Castillo, was also keen to comment on the agreement, and said:

“The alliance that we made with Scout Gaming Group for establishing our Fantasy Sports offering, strengthens our commitment to provide our clients a quality service and high-level diverse online entertainment platform – we are sure that will see an expanding number of s and that with this partnership will strengthen our leading position in the industry.”
