AGS Acquires Gameiom Technologies for $5M

A subsidiary of Apollo Gaming Holdings, AGS, has acquired a UK-based company that specializes in iGaming products and services, Gameiom Technologies Limited. The software company is also licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission, and it provides various opportunities for real-money gaming and sports betting across Europe. According to the American Gaming Systems, whose one-of-a-kind portfolio will include top-performing casino content solutions on multiple levels, the purchase will serve as a launchpad for the interactive business segment, governed through Gameiom’s remote game server.

The acquisition’s total worth is $5 million in cash, and the bill perfectly matches AGS’ strategy to pursue a pure content aggregation, instead of chasing a direct-to-consumer iGaming partnership. President and CEO, David Lopez, said that the aggregator’s platform will allow an easy distribution of leading casino titles into many world markets, including U.S. Gameiom’s platform, which is highly advanced and features many aspects that are capable of delivering gambling services in an efficient way, added Lopez. Thanks to its flexibility, scale and stability, players can enjoy reliable and safe betting. Matt Reback, executive vice president of AGS also expressed his opinion on the purchase by emphasizing the importance of channels through which the content will be shared with key partners, such as BetVictor, Ladbrokes and William Hill. Acquiring a team that is capable of fast distribution and integration will definitely diversify and enhance AGS’ conjunct product library.

Currently, Gameiom scatters content to more than 15 providers, mainly Ainsworth, Gaming Realms, Reflex and 1X2 Network.
