Caesars Launches Scientific Games Sportsbook in PA

Caesars Launches Scientific Games Sportsbook in PA

The sports betting market of Pennsylvania is growing bigger by the day, as a pair of industry titans tie the business knot over the USA’s potentially fastest-growing market with the launch of a brand-new sportsbook.

Those involved in the said deal are Caesars Entertainment and Scientific Games – the latter being especially significant in this regard as its press release announcing the team-up with Oneida for New York sports betting purposes is still hot off the press…

…a deal that should be given some real substance this week, should the New York Gaming Commission take the expected first step toward legislation of this vertical.

Caesars’ spirits have been high prior to the finalization of this deal, as well – the conglomerate (who is, by all s, in the process of being bought by Carl Icahn, the billionaire) became the NFL’s first-ever casino sponsor at the beginning of January.

Opening of The Book

Going live with Scientific Games-powered sportsbook at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, Caesars has ed a long line of operators breaking through in this state of 13 million inhabitants.

The sportsbook itself is powered by SG Digital’s OpenBet platform…

…Initially, it will offer only in-person wagering at the land-based venue’s sports lounge, The Book. Online and mobile betting will follow at a later date during Q1, with no specific time-frame listed.

Christian Stuart, Caesars executive vice president of gaming and interactive entertainment, comments:

“We’re excited to open The Book, which allows our players to wager on their favorite professional and college sports events at the region’s most complete game-changing sports betting experience.”

Stuart added that Caesars’ team has worked seamlessly with SG in order to make their unique sportsbook present in new markets with great haste. “We’re excited to usher in a new era of sports betting capabilities for Pennsylvania players at Caesars.”

The Partnership Deepens

This particular sportsbook’s strength lies in Don Best’s managed trading services. The supplier of real-time betting data was purchased by SG in October.

The two brands have already ventured down the path of sports wagering together before…

…first in Mississippi, with sports betting rolled out at Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino and Harrah’s Gulf Coast Hotel & Casino in August. The other spot of mutual business is New Jersey’s Bally’s Wild Wild West and Harrah’s Atlantic City.

Jordan Levin, SG Digital’s executive vice president and group chief executive, stressed this fact as he remarks that Pennsylvania (who managed to rake in $2 million in sports betting in December) is the third state in which SG and Caesars are working closely together: “We’re thrilled to see constant growth in our partnership,” he said and added…

“Sports betting builds more momentum every day, and we’re proud to partner with Caesars to lead the charge and provide a top-notch solution to players in Pennsylvania.”
