Codere Secures Multi-Year Deal With NBA

NBA is continuing the expansion of major gaming arrangements with international partners, as Spanish multinational company, Codere, secures a long-term deal with the league in Mexico.

First thing to , the association had recently entered into an agreement with a Uruguayan sports betting operator, Supermatch, thus ing the LatAm market for the first time in history.

Enhancing the Integrity of NBA

As reported, the National Basketball Association will be d in Codere’s retail shops throughout Mexico, but the operator will also be allowed to use official streaming data in its land-based and digital hubs for sports betting.

Moreover, both parties have agreed to mutually offer the best possible performance that would protect the integrity of the game. Marketing director at the company, Angel Fernandez, said:

“Our partnership with the NBA reinforces our values and leadership position of trust and fair play. Respecting the rules of the game is part of our DNA, and our partnership with the most competitive league in the world exemplifies that.

Together, we are thrilled to offer better experiences to our clients and add more excitement to the game, if that’s even possible.”

Further Arrangements with Codere

NBA’s newly signed agreement with one of the leading companies in the Spanish iGaming sector also includes sponsorship of the NBA Mexico City Games 2018. The previous match took place last week, when Orlando Magic stepped onto the court to play a regular-season game against the Chicago Bulls at the Arena Cuidad The Mexico.

Important to realize, is that the games marked the third consecutive season in which NBA players successfully entertained residents of Mexico City… since 1992, there have been hosted only 28 matches, which is more than any other country outside the U.S. and Canada.

Arnon de Mello, vice president and managing director of NBA, Latin America, comments:

“Codere is one of the largest gaming operators in Mexico and our new partnership will offer more ways for our ionate fans to connect and experience the excitement of our game.”

Apart from Codere, the NBA’s latest partner, other operators have also agreed deals in the United States, including The Stars Group and MGM Resorts, who also reached agreements with MLB and NHL in November.

In May 2018, the Spanish gaming giant appointed Moshe Edree as chief operating officer to boost growth and development within the European and LatAm markets. Edree has 15 years of experience in online gaming management, which already shows huge results in the digital division.
