eCOGRA Expands Regulatory Reach in Arizona and Indiana

London-based eCOGRA, a leading authority in iGaming testing, certification, and standards, has secured regulatory approval to operate in Arizona and Indiana. These advancements bolster its ability to deliver compliance solutions in key U.S. and international markets, including Panama. The agency, known for its rigorous standards, is now positioned to iGaming operators in meeting evolving regulatory requirements across these jurisdictions.

New Licenses in Arizona and Indiana

In Arizona, eCOGRA has been licensed as an Event Wagering Ancillary Supplier, granting its International Testing Laboratory (ITL) the ability to conduct independent audits of event wagering licensees. This licensure aligns with Arizona’s expanding regulatory framework for sports betting and online gaming, enabling operators to meet compliance standards more effectively.

Similarly, in Indiana, eCOGRA has been authorized to carry out regulatory compliance audits. This service provides licensed operators with assurance that they are meeting the state’s stringent regulatory requirements. Indiana, which introduced online sports betting in 2019, has established itself as a significant market for iGaming operators, making eCOGRA’s entry into the state an important milestone.

Will Shuckburgh, Group CEO of eCOGRA, commented on these approvals, stating, “Our recent approvals in Indiana, Arizona, and Panama underline our dedication to continually expand our offering, to our growing portfolio of clients with their global growth plans. We are committed to ensuring that we bring the same quality, speed and service that marks us out to both our clients and regulators in these dynamic markets.”

Expanding Presence in Latin America

Beyond the U.S., eCOGRA has also secured authorization in Panama. The Board of Gaming Control has officially recognized eCOGRA as an Authorized Entity for Compliance Certification, specifically for slot machines and gaming software. This recognition strengthens the agency’s foothold in the growing Latin American market, where regulatory oversight is becoming increasingly important.

Bradley Khoury, Chief Technology Officer at eCOGRA, emphasized the agency’s commitment to driving trust and ability in the industry. He noted, “Securing licensure as an Event Wagering Ancillary Supplier in Arizona and an Authorized Entity in Panama underscores our dedication to ing responsible and sustainable iGaming operations. We are committed to driving trust and ability within the industry by providing compliance solutions that uphold the highest standards.”

Broadening Global Impact

eCOGRA has steadily expanded its regulatory reach, now operating in 45 global jurisdictions. In February, the company opened an office in Denver, Colorado, marking a significant step in its U.S. expansion. Around the same time, eCOGRA appointed Daniel Remmes, a compliance expert with experience at IGT PlaySports and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, as its U.S.-based director of compliance. These moves demonstrate eCOGRA’s dedication to ing operators in meeting complex regulatory demands.

Additionally, eCOGRA’s recent approvals follow earlier milestones in Latin America. In February, it was authorized to operate as a Certification Laboratory in Peru, and by April, it secured a license in Brazil. These developments reflect the organization’s commitment to maintaining high standards across diverse markets.

Working with prominent operators such as bet365, Entain, and Sportradar, eCOGRA has built a reputation as a trusted partner in the iGaming industry. Its growing list of jurisdictions underscores the continued trust placed in its expertise by regulators worldwide.
