FanDuel and International Game Technology (IGT) have extended their partnership, securing IGT’s role as the exclusive retail sportsbook platform provider for FanDuel in North America until 2028. This renewed multi-year deal continues a relationship that began in 2019 when FanDuel first opened its U.S. retail sportsbook at The New Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in New Jersey.
FanDuel retail sportsbooks across 20 U.S. jurisdictions. The extended agreement ensures that IGT PlaySports will continue to power both new and existing FanDuel retail sportsbooks, solidifying the collaboration for an additional four years.
FanDuel’s president, Christian Genetski, praised IGT for its critical role in the sportsbook’s success. “For more than five years, IGT PlaySports’ team and technology have helped FanDuel’s retail sportsbook operation deliver a best-in-class customer experience while helping us maintain our position as America’s number one sportsbook,” Genetski noted. He further highlighted IGT’s vast experience as a land-based casino supplier as a significant advantage in ing FanDuel’s growing retail presence.
The collaboration has enabled FanDuel to optimize its retail offerings with a variety of self-service betting technologies, such as IGT’s PlaySports Kiosk and PlaySports Pad, creating a seamless experience for s. With these tools, bettors can independently place wagers while benefiting from the convenience and speed of the technology.
Joe Bertolone, IGT’s Senior Vice President of Sports Betting, expressed optimism for the partnership’s future, stating, “IGT PlaySports looks forward to ing FanDuel as its exclusive retail sports betting platform provider in North America for four additional years.” Bertolone emphasized IGT’s commitment to helping FanDuel maximize the potential of the retail sports betting market by offering advanced technology and exceptional player experiences.
This extension marks a critical step in FanDuel’s expansion strategy as it continues to dominate the U.S. market. During Flutter Entertainment’s annual Investor Day, it was revealed that FanDuel holds an impressive 38% market share of the U.S. gross online gaming revenue across its sports betting and iGaming operations.
One key area of growth within FanDuel’s sportsbook operations has been parlay betting, particularly on NBA and NFL games. According to Flutter, parlays for 70% of FanDuel’s wagers on these sports, and the company has developed new features to enhance parlay products, such as adjustable betting lines for player props and curated betting options.
In addition to its focus on retail sports betting, FanDuel is also expanding its digital gaming content. Recently, FanDuel launched Greentube’s online gaming portfolio in Michigan and New Jersey, adding further depth to its product offerings.
FanDuel’s ambitions are high as it looks to generate approximately $9.7 billion in revenue by 2027. Over the past four years, Flutter has seen a remarkable 260% increase in average wager odds across its gaming brands, driven largely by FanDuel’s innovative sportsbook offerings.
