Further Expansion into Midwest for Kambi

Kambi, one of the leading sports betting suppliers is preparing for two new on-property launches in the United States, continuing its expansion in the States.

The launch happened over the course of three days, enabling Rush Street Interactive to take the first legal wagers in Illinois and Penn National Gaming in Michigan.

Kambi already launched with Penn National Gaming, at its Greektown Casino in Michigan on Wednesday. Michigan is the 10th state in which the company operates and the eighth state where it made it possible for the partners to be the first to take legal wagers.

The Greektown Sportsbook has been fitted with 40 of the company’s kiosks, together with four betting windows. It is located in Detroit, which is the largest city in the midwestern state of Michigan, home to the NFL team, Detroit Lions.

Heading to Illinois

Three days ago, Rush Street Interactive, which recently headed into New Jersey and Colombia, took the first legal sports bet in Illinois. The first bet was ceremonially placed by the former Chicago Blackhawk, Eddy Olczyk, at the new Rivers Casino Sportsbook. As of Monday, there are 30 kiosks and five betting windows at the Rivers Casino Sportsbook.

Illinois is home to some of the most popular professional sports teams, such as NFL’s Chicago Bears, NBA’s Chicago Bulls and MLB’s Chicago White Sox. It is also one of the largest states in the United States, with a population estimated to be around 13 million.

Utilizing Market-leading Features

This launch via Rush Street Interactive and Penn National Gaming means that both entities now have access to Kambi’s price differentiation tool, which gives them the ability of altering margin and lines offered by jurisdiction, sport, league and match, right down to offer level, enabling operators to fully control their pricing strategy.

Both Rush Street and Penn National, which recently confirmed and acquisition with Barstool, will benefit from Kambi’s market-leading kiosks, which are known to drive cross-sell and reduce waiting times at the betting windows.

Representatives from Kambi, say that they are delighted about powering two more market debuting launches for their partners and are happy to be helping two partners in becoming leaders in their markets.

Kambi Chief Commercial Officer, Max Meltzer, said: “Kambi’s record for quality and swift delivery is central to our ongoing US progress, and we are delighted to have powered two more market firsts for our partners.

“When people look back at this historic period of legalising sports wagering across the US, they will see Kambi was the supplier powering the most firsts and our partners becoming the market leaders in their respective states. It’s all encomed in our Partner with Confidence strategy.”

Aside from Illinois and Michigan, Kambi made it possible for their partners to take first legal online bets in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana and New Hampshire.
