Horseshoe Casino Partners With Baltimore Ravens

Horseshoe Casino Partners With Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore has a lot to rejoice about as the city’s NFL franchise, the Baltimore Ravens, have entered a marketing partnership with the city’s Horseshoe Casino…

…The partnership between the two results in the development of the area around M&T Bank Stadium among other things.

A Popular Destination

Kevin Rochlitz, Senior VP of Business Development of Baltimore Ravens commented that “Horseshoe Casino Baltimore has become a popular destination, particularly for Ravens fans before and after our home games,” Ravens Senior VP of Business Development Kevin Rochlitz explained. “We’re enthused about this partnership and believe it will further enrich the entertainment appeal surrounding M&T Bank Stadium.”

Baltimore Raven’s trademark and logo can be utilized by Caesars Entertainment – Horseshoe’s parent company – as a part of this deal, and the fund collected from this partnership will be used to invest into the Southern Gateway Entertainment District which is located south of the stadium…

…Rochlitz believes this will “help contribute to the exciting development taking place throughout the area.”

All For the Fans

Caesars has recently been buying properties between the casino and M&T Bank Stadium, because the quarter-mile stretch is filled with empty buildings. In total, $8 million was spent on empty office building and a warehouse this year…

…And this is all done in an effort to create a “great entertainment district” that links stadium and the casino.

Horseshoe will receive the Baltimore Ravens-themed bar and it has prepared some on-site promotions for the fans.

NFL teams are now allowed to enter the partnerships and sponsorship with casino and gambling companies as per repeal of PASPA earlier this year by US Congress.

Period of Hardships is Behind

In December 2016, MGM National harbor resort worth $1.4 billion was opened in Maryland which has caused the expansion of the gaming industry (and revenue) in this state…

…However, Horseshoe Casino was hurt by the opening of this resort and they have generated $52.7 million less than they did in 2016, while another casino, Maryland Live, even to a nosedive of $108 million less in revenue.

Caesars Regional Manager Erin Chamberlin said: “One of the things that we think is a really big opportunity for us is to show people that we’re not just a casino, not just slots and table games. We have a lot of great restaurants and a lot of great bars.”

Former warehouse and office buildings will be turned into a nightclub and concert venues in order for entertainment offering to become more diversified.
