IGT Extends Mississippi Lottery Partnership with New Features, Mobile App

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced a three-year extension of its contracts with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, solidifying their ongoing partnership and expanding their service offerings. Under the renewed agreements, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of IGT, will continue to provide online gaming systems and instant ticket services through December 1, 2029.

This extension is set to introduce several new features, including a mobile convenience app, 28 new self-service terminals, and the Sales Wizard retail automation tool. These enhancements aim to provide greater convenience and a more engaging experience for lottery players in Mississippi.

IGT’s Commitment to Mississippi Lottery’s Growth

Jeff Hewitt, President of the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, expressed his satisfaction with the extended partnership: “When launching the Mississippi Lottery in 2019, we relied on IGT’s expertise to guide us in driving player engagement across draw-based and instant ticket games, and in realizing our growth targets. After almost five very successful years, we continue working with IGT to enhance our operations and deliver quality entertainment to our players. The Mississippi Lottery is excited to introduce IGT’s new products for added player convenience and install the Sales Wizard tool so that we can leverage actionable insights to identify incremental lottery retail opportunities.”

Enhancing Player Experience with New Technologies

The new mobile app from IGT will offer various features designed to enhance the player experience. Once available, players will be able to view winning numbers, check for winning tickets, create digital playslips, find retailers, access game information, and review responsible gaming materials. This initiative is expected to significantly improve player engagement and convenience.

Additionally, IGT plans to deploy 28 new GameTouch 28 self-service terminals, adding to the 300 machines already installed throughout the state. These terminals are designed to provide dynamic experiences that will further engage Mississippi Lottery players and offer increased flexibility.

The introduction of the Sales Wizard tool will provide the Lottery’s sales teams with comprehensive reports and insights on sales, instant ticket inventory, instant ticket facings, and point-of-sale equipment and signage. This will help optimize retail operations and identify new lottery retail opportunities.

In line with its commitment to ing educational opportunities, IGT will continue its After School Advantage program, which has already funded six digital technology labs in Mississippi since 2019. IGT also plans to open additional labs and maintain its annual scholarship contributions benefiting students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the state.
