Microgaming Opens New HQ

Microgaming has unveiled its new headquarters (HQ), Sixty Two, which opened on July 31st on the Isle of Man. It took just over two years to complete, after beginning construction on the new office, which is situated adjacent from its existing one, back in April of 2015.

The new office is made up of five stories, and it holds more than 100 employees. It is coned with the existing office via a sky bridge. Sixty Two was specifically designed with employees in mind, and the space places an emphasis on the aspects of collaboration and communication. It is made up of 16 meeting rooms, break-out areas on each floor, hot desks, phone booths, and more. Additionally, the entire fourth floor serves as a communal area, complete with a coffee shop, pool tables, darts board, poker table, library, and more.

Microgaming CFO, John Coleman, commented, “Following a number of years of hard work and commitment, it’s incredibly satisfying to see Sixty Two open. A lot of time was spent understanding the needs and wants of our employees so that a building could be designed specifically with them in mind. All involved, including staff and suppliers, should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved – I can’t thank them enough.”

The facility also puts environmental friendliness at its forefront, and has worked closely with BREEAM, an environmental assessment method and rating system, and is one of the first on the Isle of Man to receive the BREEAM rating of excellence.

“It’s incredible to think that when we set up Microgaming on the island back in 2001 there were just six staff. Now we are a campus in the heart of Douglas, with two large offices, and best of all they are connected by a sky bridge, which was a must for me! It’s an exciting new chapter for Microgaming and I’m immensely proud of what we achieved in our home,” added Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever.
