Pennsylvania’s online gambling market officially went live after several land-based casinos successfully ed their tests. This also means that NetEnt, whose NetEnt Americas LLC subsidiary was granted an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer Conditional License by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), also launched their games with partner operators.
The company has finished a successful integrations period and has publicly announced that consumers in PA can at long last get a taste of their award-winning portfolio.
The PA regulator has given the company the green light for the launch in the state’s thriving market…
…after becoming the second-largest state to regulate online casino gambling. The 13 million inhabitants provide a good backbone for a well-performing market that has hit several milestone moments since sports betting was made legal last year.
PA is the USA’s fifth-largest state by population and has a long tradition of gambling on the land-based side. Prior to attaining the license, NetEnt has inked customer agreements with several gambling operators in and was preparing for the launch of their games in the process.
Erik Nyman, NetEnt Americas LLC’s Managing Director, says:
“I am very pleased that the market in Pennsylvania has now opened. We are one of the few online casino suppliers offering our games right from the start, and I am convinced that our award-winning online casino games will be much appreciated by players in Pennsylvania.”
The developer has reported annual decline in operating profit and revenue for 2019’s first half …
…chiefly due to poor performance in Sweden whose regulatory challenges stifled the company’s growth in this region.
CEO, Therese Hillman, has reflected on results by saying that the company’s next step will be developing our own technical platform with new types of functionality and aggregation of third party content.
She added: “Through our strategy to invest in increased game production, a technical platform featuring more functionality, and live casino – ed by our brand, global distribution and customer relations – we have the right basis to defend, and over the longer term increase our market shares.”
The beginning of July saw the supplier reveal the title of their latest release — Mercy of the Gods.
The 5-reel, 3-row game has 20 paylines and is part of the brand’s progressive jackpots network. The Egyptian-themed offering boasts features such as double wilds, re-spins and the Gift of Wealth Jackpot.
This title is based on Divine Fortune mechanics, which therefore means that provider’s casino partners can expect a strong performance from this release – in the words of Director of Games, Bryan Upton.
