Although the state of New Jersey’s online gambling market managed to break online and sports gambling records during the month of January of this year…
…in the month of February the situation was a little bit different.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) recently revealed the statistics for the month of February 2019. It shows that the NJ-licensed online gambling operators have generated the revenue of $31.75 million…
…which is a staggering 44.4% improvement when we compare the numbers from the same month last year.
But, compared to the amazing statistics recorded in January, this was a $2 million drop. Some say that the fact that February had three fewer days than January could’ve affected the revenue amount.
Also, New Jersey’s online casino licenses had an OK month, because their revenue was up 48.1% to $29.94 million, but still the online casino year-on-year gain was bigger during the month of January and came up to 58.5%.
On the other hand, online poker saw a really rare year-on-year improvement. It was reported that the revenue from online poker came up to $1.8 million last month…
…which is a quite nice year-on-year gain of 2.1%.
This was an interesting twist since the poker market in New Jersey has been spiraling downwards in the past few years. So, this improvement came quite unexpectedly.
This month, the Golden Nugget was once again at the top of its game. The online gambling revenue came up to $10.7 million, which is great, but still, it was a $1.5 million drop comparing to the numbers from January.
Also, Resorts Digital Gaming saw a $66.6 million worth of revenue, which is a $3 million year-on-year improvement…
…and even $564,000 came from online poker.
The Borgata sites came up third on the list with $4.5 million, while $459,000 came from their poker websites. Caesars Interactive Entertainment was close with $4.3 million, where $788,000 came through poker as well.
When it comes to the casino-only sites, Tropicana was first with $3.45 million…
…and followed by Hard Rock Atlantic City with $1.67 million.
The Ocean Resort Casino came last with only $483,000, probably because it recently changed owners and had big financial loses.
Just recently, GAN signed a deal with Parx Casino and that way entered the New Jersey market.
The goal of this agreement is to include the operator’s portfolio and gradually implement it and expand it throughout the venue.
This is actually not the first time that the two companies got the chance to collaborate. GAN also signed a deal with Parx in Pennsylvania last year. The casino, that is located in Bensalem and has 26 self-service kiosks and seven teller windows places inside the venue…
…also works with Kambi on sports betting services in this state.

Well, I suppose that people were feeling lucky more at the beginning of the year.
