Spelinspektionen Blocks Ninja Casino Relaunch

Spelinspektionen, the gambling regulator in Sweden has decided to block the relaunch of Ninja Casino in Sweden.

After a license transfer by the owners of the operator to another company, which was already holding a license, an application was submitted to the regulator.

However, after serious violations of gambling laws in Sweden, the regulator deemed the relaunch of the casino highly inappropriate, and that such re-launch had taken place between Global Gaming (GG) and Viral Interactive.

Highly Inappropriate

Officials from Spelinspektionen, which recently implemented a strategy against illegal gambling, said that it was highly inappropriate that Viral has chosen a collaboration involving two entities who’d committed serious violations.

“[It was] highly inappropriate that Viral Interactive Ltd has chosen a collaboration involving two players who have committed serious violations,” the regulator said in an official statement.

The gambling regulator also said that Viral Interactive and Global’s running of Ninja Casino did not meet the gaming operation requirements that would ensure controlled and security assured forms.

Representatives from Global, who recently teamed up with Finnplay, say that after five months of deliberation, Spelinspektionen has chosen to reject Viral Interactive’s application.

“It is noteworthy that the Swedish Gambling Authority, after almost five months of deliberation, chooses to reject Viral Interactive’s application to add Ninjacasino.se. Viral Interactive cannot in any way be regarded as a party in the legal procedure currently in place between SafeEnt and the Swedish Gambling Authority and cannot be held responsible for any marketing previously conducted by Elec Games,” added the brand’s, Tobias Fagerlund.

Fagerlund concluded by saying that it is obvious that there is a lot of prestige in the Swedish Gambling Authority’s decision and that the Swedish Gambling Authority continues to make questionable decisions which in his opinion lack clear in the legislation.
